Re: USA Today Firearms Survey...
Actually, it's a trick question....
The Second Amendment doesn't GIVE any rights..... God gives rights, and the Second Amendment merely recognizes the right to bear arms.... Just sayin.... my rights don't come from ANY piece of paper. . |

Re: USA Today Firearms Survey...
So, was the Bill of Rights conceived to protect the rights of the state from the infringement of the individual or the rights of the individual from the infringement of the state. Should be a no-brainer.

Re: USA Today Firearms Survey...
All of the rights stated in the constitution were considered by the founding fathers to be god given. The constitution merely states such and places limits on the federal government. Any rights not specifically granted to the federal government were reserved for the states and the citizens.
The federal government was given the power to negotiate treaties, coin money, defend the country, regulate interstate commerce etc. The whole purpose of the constitution was to insure that the federal government would not become what it has become. Most Americans are brain dead and socialist today. They don't have a clue. I know everyone here knows this stuff already but it bears repeating, often. |
Re: USA Today Firearms Survey...
That poll is a couple of years old. November 2007, I think.
Somehow it's making its way around the firearm sites on the internet again. USA Today is not even looking at it anymore. |
